Virtual cooking class for kids – Riverside CSD – 3 classes serie

During this new cooking series, young chefs learn virtually how to make delicious food by themselves in the comfort of their own kitchen. For safety reasons, help from an adult is required. All levels are welcome. Menu, ingredients and equipment listed below. Virtual classroom log-in information located on receipt.
Menu of 9/21/20
Bacon, and leek Mac and Cheese
Serving 6
- 8 slices Thick Cut Bacon, cut in small pieces
- 1 leek, cleaned and diced zucchini
- 6 Tbsp Butter, divided
- ½ – 1 cup mix shredded cheese or shredded Swiss cheese ( quantity depends how much you want cheese)
- 1 pound Macaroni
- 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 cup Half-and-half (optional)
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- Kosher Salt And Black Pepper To Taste
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup Panko or bread crumb
Material : medium pot au saucepan, different sizes of bowls, knife, cutting board, wooden spoon, spatula, baking sheet
Refunds will not be granted unless class is cancelled. Credits will be issued for the amount of the course if the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is notified before the second class meeting. Online registration transaction fees are non-refundable.
